Photodynamic therapy (PDT) utilizes a blu-light laser for a variety of skin cancer treatments. When focused on pre-cancerous cells, the blu-light cuts off their oxygen supply and effectively eliminates the abnormal growths without damaging healthy tissue. This procedure is also highly favored among patients, as the risk of scarring is significantly less than with excision or other surgical removal methods.
